Training new generations of dancers by confronting them with choreographers at the top of their game is the path followed by the Ballet Junior.

Several times each season, Geneva’s Ballet Junior invites big names on the contemporary dance scene to entrust them with choreographed pieces. Featured in this “MIX 22”, two artists who have been fuelling the troupe’s repertoire with verve and energy for some time already are Hofesh Shechter and Barak Marshall. The programme also features a first collaboration with Rachid Ouramdane based on an excerpt from “Tenir le Temps”, a turbulent and lively choreographed work that goes from tension to exuberance.

L’émergence artistique locale soutenue par Antigel

Le Festival Antigel s’engage pleinement vers l’avenir en soutenant la nouvelle génération d’artistes qui connaît aujourd’hui une formidable émulation et un renouvellement des arts de la scène. Au programme, un «  focus émergence » est proposé pour 3 spectacles: le Ballet Junior de Genève et son répertoire prestigieux composé des chorégraphes Rachid Ouramadane, Hofesh Shechter et Barak Marshall ; les performances et installations de 11 artistes pluridisciplinaires résidents à l’Abris ; et enfin, une proposition du Collectif Détente «TELL ME» réunissant les artistes Julia Parazzini, Old Master, Léa Meier et Anais Wenger à l’occasion de l’exposition de Sarah Margnetti et Charlotte Herzig.
